Create your account & sign in

Kruva signs you in with your phone number — no password to remember.

1. Enter your mobile number
   On first launch, type your phone number. We text you a 6-digit verification code.
2. Enter the code
   Type the code to verify your number and sign in.
3. Set up your profile
   First time only — add your name, email, and a few details. You can add a profile photo and your DUPR rating later.
4. Stay signed in
   You stay signed in between visits; you only re-verify if you reinstall the app.

Log a Quick Game

For casual or open play — log a score in seconds, no schedule needed, and build your personal stats.

1. Tap Start Game → Quick Game
   Quick Game skips setup and jumps straight to scoring.
2. Choose Singles or Doubles
   Add your partner (doubles) and your opponents by name. You can skip opponents to just log your own score.
3. Enter the score and Save game
   Punch in both scores and save.
4. Play again, your way
   Switch partners, keep the same partners, or start fresh with new players — without re-entering everyone.
5. Tap Done Playing when you're finished
   Your games roll up into your stats automatically.

Start a Group Game

Run an organized session with courts, an auto-generated schedule, fair byes, and live standings.

1. Tap Start Game → Group Games
   Group Games builds a full multi-court session.
2. You're the Court Master
   The Court Master sets up and runs the session. Choose whether you're playing or just keeping score, and optionally name the game.
3. Pick a format
   Round Robin — Rotating, Round Robin — Set, or King of the Court (see "The three game formats" below).
4. Set up the game
   Game Setup has four cards: Courts (how many courts, and how many players), Match Structure (rounds and games per round), Matchup Options, and Scoring Format. The options are explained below.
5. Fill your spots
   The roster starts as open spots (Player 1, Player 2, and so on). Share the join link or QR code so players can claim their own spot, or tap a spot and type a name for anyone who doesn't use the app. See Invite players.
6. Review & Start
   Kruva builds the full schedule with fair bye rotation. Review it, tweak anything, then tap Start Game. If some spots are still open, Kruva tells you which ones and lets you start anyway.

Game Setup options

• Number of Players: sits under Number of Courts. It starts at 4 players per court (2 courts → 8 players) and follows the court count until you change it. You can go above full courts, for example 10 players on 2 courts means 2 sit out each round. The minimum is 4. King of the Court sets this from the court count.
• Scoring style: Standard (side-out, default to 11) or Rally (every rally scores, default to 15). Set any target you like.
• Win by: Win by 2 (official USA Pickleball) or Straight Up (first to the target wins, which is faster for big groups). It's in the Scoring Format card.
• Mixed Partners: every team is one man and one woman. See Mixed doubles.
• Avoid repeat partners: keeps pairings fresh from round to round.
• Singles on bye (Rotating): when players would sit out and a court is free, the sitting pair plays a singles match instead. It counts in standings, so nobody sits.

The three game formats

Pick the format that fits your group. Here's how each one works.

Round Robin — Rotating

You get a new partner every round and, over the match, play with and against everyone. Standings are individual — most wins takes it, with points breaking ties. The fairest way to mix up a group.

Round Robin — Set partners

You pick one partner and stay together the whole match — you win and lose as a team. Needs an even number of players. Best when people want to play the whole session with a chosen partner.

King of the Court

Win to move up a court, lose to move down — and partners split up after every game. Courts rank from the King Court (Court 1) down to the challenge courts. Win on the top court and you stay there with a new partner; lose on the bottom and you stay to fight back. The player with the most wins is crowned King of the Court, with points breaking ties. The most competitive way to play, with Standard or Scramble seeding.

Mixed doubles

Turn on Mixed Partners and every team is one man and one woman, every round.

1. Pick Round Robin — Rotating or Round Robin — Set
   Mixed Partners works with both Round Robin formats in Group Games. It isn't available in King of the Court or Quick Game.
2. Turn on Mixed Partners
   In Game Setup, open the Matchup Options card and switch on Mixed Partners. Rounds default to 2 per court (2 courts → 4 rounds), which is one full rotation. You can change it.
3. Fill the men's and women's spots
   The roster opens as Man Player 1, 2… and Woman Player 1, 2…, so it's balanced from the start. Spots are added and removed in pairs to keep men and women even.
4. Players claim their side
   When someone joins, they see every spot but can only claim a spot on their own side. The first time, Kruva asks "Man or woman?" and saves the answer to their profile, so they're only asked once.
5. Start
   Kruva needs the same number of men and women. If they don't match, it tells you the counts and what to add, for example "You currently have 5 men, 7 women. Add 2 more men, or fix 1 player who's set wrong."

How the schedule works

• Rotating: every man partners every woman once per rotation, and every game is mixed against mixed. Everyone shares a court with everyone else at least once. If you play more rounds than one rotation, the next rotation is reshuffled so it doesn't repeat the same opponents.
• Set partners: every fixed team is one man and one woman.
• Byes: when a team sits out, the man and woman sit together, so the courts stay balanced. An odd number of teams (for example 5 men and 5 women) is fine: one team sits each round.
• Avoid repeat partners and Singles on bye are hidden while Mixed Partners is on, because the mixed schedule already handles both.

Invite players: link, QR & open spots

For Court Masters. Post one link in your group chat and let players claim their own spots.

1. Set the number of players
   In Game Setup, set Number of Players. The roster then opens with that many open spots.
2. Share the link
   On the Players screen, tap Share to send the game name, join code, and a link (kruva.app/join/code) through any app: your group text, WhatsApp, email.
3. Or show the QR code
   Tap QR and people scan it with their phone camera. This works well for people walking up at the courts.
4. Watch the spots fill
   The roster shows "N claimed · N open." A claimed spot shows the player's name. An open spot shows an amber dashed circle; tap it to type a name for someone who doesn't use the app.
5. Fix the roster in a tap
   Tap a name to rename it. Tap ✕ to remove someone; their spot becomes open again and the next person on the waitlist moves in. A 5-second Undo bar lets you take it back. Use "+ Add a spot" (in mixed games, "+ Add a man's spot" or "+ Add a woman's spot") to make the game bigger.

Join a game

Join a game someone else is running from your own phone. Use the link, the QR code, or the 6-digit code.

1. Tap the link or scan the QR
   If you have the latest Kruva, the link opens the game straight in the app. If you don't have Kruva yet, the link takes you to the App Store or Google Play and shows the join code so you can copy it.
2. Or type the code
   Open Kruva, go to My Games, tap Join with code, enter the 6-digit code, and tap Find Game.
3. Tap your spot
   Tap an open spot, or your name if the Court Master typed it in, to claim it. Your spot now shows your name. Not listed? Tap "I'm not listed — add me."
4. Agree to verify scores (first time only)
   Kruva asks you once to agree to verify scores honestly. Then you're in.
5. Play
   The game appears in My Games → Active. Follow the schedule live and enter your own scores. See the next guide.

The waitlist

When a game is full, you can still get in line. Every game type has a waitlist.

1. Tap "Add me to the waitlist"
   If every spot you could take is already claimed, Kruva offers the waitlist and shows your place, for example "#2 on the women's waitlist." Mixed games keep separate men's and women's waitlists.
2. Move in automatically
   When a spot opens, the first person on the waitlist moves in automatically. Next time you open the game you'll see "You're in!"
3. Keep an eye on My Games
   Your waitlist spot shows in My Games as "Waitlist - game name." Kruva doesn't send notifications yet, so check back, or ask your Court Master to let you know in the group chat.
4. Changed your mind?
   Open the game and tap Leave the waitlist.

For Court Masters

• The Players screen shows who's waiting. You can reorder the list, remove someone, or tap + Add to match to put someone in. That fills an open spot, or adds a spot if the game is full.
• To let a waiting player in, tap ✕ on a claimed spot. The spot opens and the next person on the waitlist moves in.
• The waitlist closes when the match starts.

Follow & score from your phone

Once you've joined a game, you see everything live on your own phone — and you can enter your own scores.

1. Open the match from My Games → Active
   You see the same live screens as the Court Master: Schedule, Scoring, and Standings.
2. See your schedule & when you're up
   The full schedule shows which court you're on, who you play, and when you sit out.
3. Watch standings update live
   Scores and standings refresh in real time as games finish.
4. Enter a score
   On the Scoring tab, tap your game and enter the score. It shows as "Pending" right away and counts in the standings.
5. Get it verified
   A different player who was in that game (or the Court Master) taps Verify, and the score turns "Verified." You can't verify your own score — that keeps everyone honest.

Enter & fix scores

Score games as they finish, fix anything later, and handle games that don't finish.

1. Open the Schedule tab
   During a live match it shows every court for the current round; swipe or use the arrows to move between rounds.
2. Tap a game and enter the score
   Saving auto-advances to the next unscored game. Scores are checked against your format — a Rally-15, win-by-2 game won't accept 15–14.
3. Fix a score anytime
   Tap a scored game again to edit it, even after the match ends.
4. Mark a DNF when needed
   If a game can't finish, mark it DNF (Did Not Finish). It records 0–0 and is excluded from standings (USA Pickleball Rule 15.B.4.a). You can undo a DNF or enter the real score later.
5. End the round / match
   Advance to the next round when you're ready; finish the match once every game is scored to see the podium.

Standings, tiebreakers & the podium

Know exactly where everyone stands, live and at the finish.

1. Open the Standings tab
   Standings update in real time as scores come in.
2. Switch the sort
   Sort by Official ranking, W-L, Win %, Avg +/- (average point differential), or Points.
3. How ties break
   Kruva uses USA Pickleball tiebreakers (Rule 12.C.3): most Wins → Head-to-head → Point differential → Total points. DNF games are excluded.
4. See the podium
   When the match ends, the podium shows the top three and full final standings. In King of the Court, the top finisher is crowned King.

My Games, history & stats

Everything you've played, plus your record over time.

1. Open My Games
   Two tabs — Active (your lobbies and live games) and Past (finished matches and Quick Game days).
2. Resume an active game
   Tap Resume on any live game or lobby — your schedule, scores, and standings come back exactly as they were, even after a phone restart.
3. Review your history
   In Past, group matches open a full read-only viewer (Schedule, Podium, Standings). Quick Games group by day with your win-rate.
4. Search & filter
   Find past games by name, date range, or type (Group or Quick).
5. Check your stats
   The top of Past shows your This Week / This Month / Total games and your overall Win Rate.

Your profile & account

Manage your details from the profile icon (top-right of any screen).

1. Edit your details
   Update your name and email. Your phone number is verified and used to sign you in.
2. Set your gender
   Optional, but it saves time: with your gender set, mixed doubles games place you on the right side automatically and never have to ask.
3. Add a profile photo
   Tap your avatar to take or choose a photo; it shows next to your name and in standings.
4. Add your DUPR rating
   Enter your DUPR in your profile if you'd like it on record.
5. Get help
   Reach Contact Support, Help, Terms, and Privacy right from Profile.
6. Delete your account
   You can permanently delete your account anytime. Your personal data is removed; games you ran are kept for the other players, with your name removed.

Troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common problems. If none of these help, send us a ticket.

I didn't get the sign-in code

Check the number you typed, including the area code, and wait a minute. Texts can be slow. Then tap Resend code. A weak signal at the courts can hold texts up, so try again on Wi-Fi or with better signal.

The join link took me to the App Store or Google Play

That means Kruva isn't installed, or your version is older than the latest. Install or update Kruva, then tap the link again, or open Kruva → My Games → Join with code and enter the code shown on the page.

"Please update Kruva"

A newer version is out. Tap Update Kruva to open the store and install it. Some features, like links that open the game directly, need the latest version.

The code doesn't find the game

Check all 6 digits with your Court Master. The code belongs to one game, so a code from last week's game won't work for this week's.

I can't claim a spot / the game is full

Every open spot on your side is taken. Tap "Add me to the waitlist" and you'll move in automatically when a spot opens. In a mixed game, you can only claim a spot on your own side.

I'm set as the wrong man / woman

Update your gender in Profile. For a game already set up, ask the Court Master to change it on the Players screen.

My score says "Pending"

That's normal. A different player from that game, or the Court Master, needs to tap Verify. Pending scores still count in the standings.

I don't see the game in My Games

Check both the Active and Past tabs. Leave My Games and open it again to reload it. If you joined with a different phone number, sign in with that number.

My phone died in the middle of a match

Nothing is lost. Reopen Kruva, go to My Games → Active, and tap Resume.
